Small venues, individual artists, theatre companies and the public: How COVID19 and its aftermath will impact on the artistic and cultural life of Britain
In this session, we are focusing on the largest providing sector of arts, music entertainment, and culture in Europe. A sector which is often overshadowed by major events and venues but forms the very fabric of our cosmopolitan culture and community. Today we are looking for answers to the serious question in relation to how this sector is not only going to survive but be supported in its quest to bounce back after this devastating period, which in many areas has cut off the only avenue to community practice. The panel will include Sam Oldham (Commercial and Operations Director – The Roundhouse), Kaya Stanley Money (Executive Director – Camden peoples Theatre), Kris Nelson (Artistic Director/CEO LIFT Festival), Indhu Rubasingham (Artistic Director – Kiln Theatre), Danny Rolph (Contemporary Artist) and Richard Beale (RB Health & Safety Solutions).
